Apologies for the vagueness,

1) I'm Inquiring for the UK and yes it is for my family research

2) any information that could corroborate details and speculations further that i already have, at the moment a lot of the birth marriage and death certs i have put people in approximate dates and vicinities etc and i would just like to see if the census data could confirm stuff.

for example say i have a death cert saying someone was born in 18xx , yet i cant find any birth certificate or there are loads to choose from, the census data could tell me that person x lived with person y and others at a certain time or place and would help me narrow the field.

3) i was given the impression that census information was sealed for 100 years after it was collected , i assumed for security reasons

again sorry for the confusion

James
