There is a Charles Baker and son Rodney listed in the 1930 census in Medicine Bow WY. That is not far from Laramie WY. It says he is widowed and it lists a parent Nelly. Try that cemetery. I did see many Sadie's listed in Wyoming but not sure if any are the one you need. I am using Familysearch.org. It is a free website.

According to this website http://gennut.home.bresnan.net/mhcg.html Robert E Grooms was born in 1861. There is a memorial for him on Findagrave.com which I had created back in April 2011 and I just recently requested one of the Findagrave volunteers to go out and take a picture of the headstone. The link is http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=Gr...;.

Tiana

There is no DOD on Robert other than the age given and the math to 1861 from 85 yrs old. My hunch is that his age was 75 and this is the Robert E Lee Grooms aka "uncle Bobby" from Valentine Nebraska.

Thanks for the info! We have a good run of census data that shows 1871/72. So if this is our Robert E Grooms aka Uncle Bobby, then something is off of the b day. Death date and location are a good probable for him though. I'd love to see the stone and or cemetery log.

Thanks, James
Blood, Marvin Addison, was killed in a car accident August 25, 1939, on the highway between Encampment and Saratoga, WY. Saratoga News reported Marvin Addison Blood was buried in the "local cemetery." If anyone is near Soratoga, Wyoming, I would appreciate a look for his grave at the Saratoga Cemetery and a photo if possible. Marvin Addison Blood is a brother to my father.

He was probably buried in the Rock Springs City Cemetery. You can contact the Sexton at (307) 352-1462 and ask if your grandfather is buried there. You can also contact the Rock Springs City Library or the Wyoming State Archives and see if there is an obituary available.

Graves were moved from where they were to the Rock Springs Cemetery but I can't remember what year. The sexton would know.

Contact the Wyoming State Archives and see if they have a death date for you? If so they can send you the death certificate and possibly look up an obituary. If they can't look up the obit then you can ask the public library in the town she was buried in to look it up.

Joseph Stanton "Stant" Brown is buried in Montana. So is Maggie Burger Brown.

My mother lived in Kane, Wy with her mother Lillie Brown Reynolds and her grandfather John Gordon Brown.

I have just in the last couple of days started a Gage/Brown/Sailer tree. I am knew to Ancestry.com so it is slow going, but I should have a lot of information for all.

If you are who I think you are, I would dearly love to talk to you. We were trying to trace John Kiker Brown back to TN and I came across a correspondence about 10 years old between Richard Kyker and I believe you.

My aunt still living in St. James and in 1986 we took mom back to Kane and to see William E.
Hi Nancy,
I made it to the Library! Thank goodness too, it is snowing like crazy out there!
The Library has 3 Volumes of Cemetery indexes, I found Hamlin's in two of them. Here is what I got:

Natrona County Cemetery Records Vol #1 1889-1950
Highland Cemetery
Hamlin Anna 44y Aug 21,1926 Gr 3 Lt 6 Bl 38
Florence 65 y Jan 23,1920 Gr 3 Lt 1 Bl 29
Lloyd 29y Jan 12,1939 Gr 1 Lt - Bl 29

Vol #2 Highland Cemetery 1951-1985
Harris G 55y May 23,1952 Gr 17 Lt 4 Bl 103
Hollis Nathan 70y Feb 15,1956 Gr 20 Lt 1 Bl 219
Lois M -no age- Sep 2,1981B Gr 19 Lt 1 Bl 219
Marjorie L 72y Jan 12, 1981 Gr 16 Lt 4 Bl 103
Raymond T 42y Jun 24,1953 Gr 5 Lt 4 Bl 130
Verne Albert 47y Oct 22,1957 Gr 14 Lt 6 Bl 219

All dates given should be the death date except Lois, the B after her name means date of burial. All graves are located in the Highland Cemetery. If you would like pix of the graves I would be happy to take them! Although you would have to remind me in a couple of months when the snow is melted!
Hope this info helps, Have a great day,
Kristine

The only funeral home in Buffalo is
Adams Funeral Home
351 N Adams Ave
Buffalo, WY 82834
(307) 684-2251
It is owned by Bill Adams although I do not believe he handles too many funeral now due to his age. The folks who work for him are very friendly and I'm sure they will help you as much as possible. I know they have a huge book that shows all of the burial plots, who owns them and who is buried in the cemetery.

Glen & Ida Scott - possibly buried in Sheridan Municiple Cemetery?

Looking for burial information on my great grandparents, Glen and Ida Scott. Both born in Omaha Nebraska, came to Sheridan probably in the 1910-1915 range, with Glenn's parents - Walter and Carrie Scott.

Family handwritten history says that Glen died early June 1938. Ida, left alone after the death of Glen's parents in 1937 and 1942, moved back to Omaha where she died in 1954. My mother tells me that my grandmother then had Ida moved back to Sheridan to be buried with Glen. I don't know if it was immediatly after her death, or at a later date. She is certain, though, that both are buried in Sheridan. I've located the graves of Carrie and Walter on the Sheridan Co. WebGen project site. They're listed as buried in Sheridan Municiple Cemetery. I would assume that Glen and Ida are buried there, as well, but I have no idea.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning a possible trip to Wyoming, and would like to visit their graves if they can be located.
