I am trying to find out the death date and place for Nels Munson and the burial place for him and his wife Carolina. Carolina's maiden name was Fosber or Firstberg, i have seen it both ways. Carolina was born May 24 1827 in Sweden, and she passed away in South Range, Douglas, WI on Sep 17 1907. Carolina and Nels were married in Sweden and came over together in abt. 1888 with for sure one daughter Tillie " Mathilda" Nelson. Mathilda was born in Jun 1869 in Sweden. I do not know if there were other children born to this union or not. I know that Carolina is listed as being buried in Hawthorne, WI. The undertaker was Henry Nelson, she was widowed at the time of her death, and she died of old age. Carolina was living in Duluth, MN with her daughter Tillie and son in law Julius Bergquist ( Listed as Eusius) on the 1900 census. On that census she is listed as a widow, so Nels passed way before that census was taken in 1900. Tillie "Mathilda" is buried in a single grave in Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth, the whereabouts of her bachelor husband Julius is unknown as to where he was laid to rest. Carolina was last living in South Range, WI , which is where she passed. On the death record from Douglas County it shows her burial was in Howthorne, WI. I have been trying to track down more information on her and her husband, with now too much luck. I am looking to find out when and where Nels Munson died at, and to find Carolina and his' burial place. Of course I am always on the hunt for their son in law Julius Bergquist's burial place as well. I know Carolina's fathers name was Fred Fosberg (Firstberg?) and her mothers name was Carolina Monson. Any help in their deaths, or census records from prior to 1900, their ship manifest, burial places, anything would be a great help in this search. I am at a loss as to where to look next. Any help would be much appreciated.!
