Pigeon creek Presbyterian Cemetery tombstones
I just got back from a trip to Washington County PA. and took a lot of pictures in the Pigeon creek Cemetery tombstones. If you are looking for the surname of Meyers, Leyda, wilson, Vaneman, Moore or a few others let me know and I'll see if I have a picture and e-mail it to you. I also have some Houston and Reed surnames in the Oak Springs Cemetery in Cannonsburg. Jack

Re: PIGEON CREEK PRESBYTERIAN CEMETERY
If you have pictures of Emily Leyda Hootman(D Jan 19,1923) and Anderson Hootman(d Aug 12,1915) I would appreciate a copy. They were my GGrandparents!

Re: PIGEON CREEK PRESBYTERIAN CEMETERY
Jack--Received the pictures and they are great. I have not had a chance to visit this Cemetery since 1942 Just before I went into the Air Force, At my age I probably will never get back to Pa which makes these pictures all the more valuable to me, Glad to see that the Cemetery seems to be well cared for. Thanks so very much! Bill Harris

Re: PIGEON CREEK PRESBYTERIAN CEMETERY
I'm particularly curious about any Wilsons in this area, since several Wilsons and Devores came fro PA but eventually moved to Champaign Co., OH. Please note my new email address: sandy1500@q.com.

Re: PIGEON CREEK PRESBYTERIAN CEMETERY
Hi Sandy, Are you related to JOHN DEVORE and HANNAH WILSON? If this is the line you are looking for i'll check to see what pictures I have, or if your looking for anything in particular, let me know what. I also have soom pictures of the VanEman line that would be Hannahs mothers family. Jack

Re: PIGEON CREEK PRESBYTERIAN CEMETERY
Hi Jack...I'm not sure. I'm trying to connect a bunch of Devores and Wilsons who lived near one another in Champaign Co., OH in 1830,40 and 50. It appears that at least some of the Devores came from Pigeon Creek, but many of others there also came from Washington Co., PA in about in the early 1800's. Cemetery lists including these names would be a start. Thanks for any input you can offer.

Re: PIGEON CREEK PRESBYTERIAN CEMETERY
Sandy, I went thru the reordes I had, and coukn't come up with any Wilsons or Devore that moved to Ohio. One bit of info. that you might know, but couldn't tell from your e-mail. Pigeon Creek Cemetery is in Washington County, in a very small town called Eighty-Four. I got the Cemetery records from a book called "The Pigeon Creek United Presbyterian church Cemetery Records 1777-1984" by Lyle Brooks Watson. I found this, at the Allen county Library. Therer is also info on a few Devore as well as wilsons in a web site at "Raymond Bells Anthology". Just key it in , in Google or equal. If you come across any roots of wilsons in Washington CO. PA., give me a yell and maybe I can help you further.
