Does anyone know where this cemetery is located? It would be in, or near, Pittsburgh. It must be defunct as it is not listed.I grew up in Pittsburgh but never heard of a Lafferty Hill. Does anyone know who to contact for cemetery records at this particular cemetery.

I belong to the Paallegh-L mailing list and I have saved messages from other listers and this was among those messages and was dated 2000.
"Lafferty Hill Cemetery is also known as St. Paul's German Lutheran Cemetery. It is located at the corner of Custer Ave & Joseph St. in Baldwin Boro. There is a reading of the tombstones in the WPGS collection at the PA Room of Carnegie Library, Oakland. The Historical Society of Western PA (John Heinz Regional History Center) may also have a microfilm of deaths 1877-1947."

I looked on the Historic Pittsburgh website http://digital.library.pitt.edu
and used Lafferty Hill as a search term. There was one entry that said, "Mr. Doran married Miriam Theresa Lafferty, who was born Februrary 16, 1811, on Lafferty Hill, Baldwin Township, Pittsburgh, Lafferty Hill having been named in honor of her parents, who were among the first settlers of that part of the city.

Hope this helps.
