One of my ancestors, Andrew Price, was hanged for murder in the Lawrence Co. Jailyard in Ohio of 1869. I cannot find him in any surrounding cemeteries. Does anyone know what they would have done with an executed prisoner? I know he was put in a coffin, but the family did not pay for his burial. Any info would be appreciated.
