Tombstone Restoration

I am currently in the process of saving and restoring a previously "lost cemetery" on Shepard road in the town of Wethersfield Springs, Wyoming County, about a mile outside of the hamlet of Hermitage. It took me 2 years of driving up and down this road to find it as it was so badly overgrown. The brush has been cleared, and turned into mulch and now I need some advice.
Is there a way to restore a sandstone (I think that's what it is) tombstone. It's the stone that comes apart in big flakes. There are several on this site and could be put back together as most of the pieces are still there. I just need some advice on what is the best and proper way to do this.
Thanks for any opinions and advice,

Hello Gizzy,

Are you still restoring the old cemetery?
I do this kind of work. Would enjoy helping you achieve your goal.

Thanks for your kind offer. I worked on this cemetery for about 4 years. Then this past year the town recieved money for allowing wind towers to restore it. So I left it to them.
