Ely is in White Pine County. Try these 2 places.
Division of Health/Vital Statistics
505 East King Street, Rm #102
Carson City, NV 89701
(775) 684-4242
Fax: (775) 684-4156
or
White Pine County Recorder

or call them at:

At her age she may have married and changed her name. In any case this will give you a starting point. I would look for marrige certificates first.
Here is a spot to get a bit of history on the area.

The 1900 Census shows a sister for Nettie whose name was Effie Lucille Kell b. Nov 1889, she died in Ely, White Pine County, NV. on March 7th, 1966. If you can find her obit though the local newspaper, it may contain a married name for the missing Nettie. Best Wishes, Lettie

Thank you for your response in my search for Nettie Kell.
Effie Kell Buzzetti was my grandmother whom I was very close to. We just don't know what happened to Nettie Kell. Our last documented knowledge of her is when she attended her father's burial in 1911. All members of the family who may have had some knowledge have already passed on. We don't know if she was ever married. We can't find any record of it so far.
Thanks again, Lucille fuller

Dear Lettie
I have searched and collected all available records in White Pine county for the Kells as well as the Buzzetti families. I was a Buzzetti myself and raised in White Pine county, McGill, Nv. How do I contact you? Nettie Kell is my only problem at this point.

Did the death of Nettie's father Frank have anything to do with Clay being in the Orphanage from 1910 to 1916? I found info on him, d. July 25, 1944 in California wifes name was Blanche.
Have you contacted the downline here in Las Vegas?
Mary Etta (Kell) Hansen line?
Or the downline in Nevada, Utah, Washington?
Francis Elisabeth (Kell) Henriod?
Best Wishes, Lettie

Clay was in the orphanage because of his mother's illness and other family could not care for him. Frances Henroid was personally known and I know her grandson and everything is okay there. Frank Kell died in 1911 and is buried in Cherry Creek, NV. Mary Etta Kell was lost to us however her daughters were found and they know nothing of her because they had been placed in and out of orphanages by their mother. The name of Hansen is a clue that I did not know of. Thanks. There is no Kell downline in Las Vegas or any other state unless Nettie can be located there which I keep running into brick walls. I have everything on Clay including his marriage to Blanche. Mattie was found also.

Alice Leone Bennett - Obit

Alice LeoneBennett 1919 ~ 2004 ?Our precious and loving Aunt passed away on December 2, 2004 at the age of 85 in an area hospital. Alice was born in Schillbourne, Nevada to George Lawrence Bennett and Mary Etta Kell on April 28, 1919. Alice never married and always lived with her sister and brother-in-law, Vera Bennett and Pete Yano who have preceded her in death. Alice was a driving force in the rearing of their children. After graduation from Jordan High School, she attended Stevens-Henager Business College. During World War II, Alice worked at a local ammunition plant making arms. After the war, she worked for Standard Oil of California as a bookkeeper. In 1956, Alice opened her own business, a caf? called the Malt Shop, located in the State Lanes Bowling Center. In 1971 the caf? was moved to the Sue-Rich Lanes. Alice retired at the age of 78 from work but not from life. To the very end she drove a car, lived in her own home, did her own shopping, visited family members, and loved to work in her garden. Aunt Alice was well loved by her family and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her loving niece, Susanne Yano Hanson, Las Vegas, Nevada, her adoring nephew, Richard Yano, Salt Lake City, six grand nieces and nephews, and 14 great-grand nieces and nephews.
