Mrs. Roy A. Hardy, lifetime resident of Nevada and wife of one of the state's leading mining engineers, died shortly before noon Wednesday in a Palo Alto, Calif. convalescent center. Mrs. Hardy became ill at her Reno home late last week and she and Hardy were transferred to the convalescent center. She suffered a heart attack there, and died. Hardy had been recovering from a serious illness following an operation for a fractured hip. Mrs. Hardy was born Bonnie Thoma in Reno, Aug. 23, 1889. You and your Dad are very welcome. I looked for an obit for Royce (or Roy) but so far no luck. I think he died in May 1974, perhaps in or near Reno according to the Social Security Index. I would guess that he is buried by his wife? Also the 1964 Reno telephone book has:
Roy A Hardy 206 N. Virginia St, 323-8575
residence 442 Flint 323-4636
GoogleEarth has street views of this area.
Good Luck.
