Death certificates were not even done prior to 1904 in Nebraska. Obituary can be obtained from the Nebraska State Historical Society IF there was one. See their website for lookup fees and copies. Fees are NOT refundable even if nothing can be found.

You may want to see if Burt County museum can assist you in your research.

Well I did finally figure out how to access it. If you have any info on Ebenezer & Mary A. Cornish's son John it would be most appreciated. I've sent for Death Certificate in Nebraska twice with no luck for Ebenezer??? I don't understand why. Not sure how to get his obituary which I really need to prove his children. Thanks for tip.

See FIND A GRAVE and you will find all the burials for that cemetery. Ebenezer is there. There is a tombstone photo and other information.

Two sources on Abraham Tupper say that he was in LaPorte/Clarke Co, IA/Nebraska when he died of some disease. That would, according to my sources, be in about 1834-36. He was with family, inclluding one named Albin (possibly Baker). Abin also died around the same time. The sources I have are: Two-volume Book set, The Tupper Family in America and Canada; and a journal from John A., McCall, whose mother was Emma (aka Amy) Tupper and whose grandma was Lucretia Baker. Not sure if this will help or not but when I searched for Mary Goodin I found her birth in Iowa. Maybe the cemetery is in East Plattsmouth Iowa. It is not far from Plattesmouth NE. I am not from that area and just searched directions online but it could be an explanation. Also if you know the name of her husband maybe we could find it through him. She may be buried with him. Good luck searching

I cannot find this cemetery or block 7 or Lot 4D.

Loeb and Themmes tombstones in the Sutton area

I'm researching family that died in the Sutton area in or around 1902-1907.
The two individuals I am looking for are my great great great grandmother and her son.
Maria (Mary) Loeb Themmes - died around 1907 (?).
Maria's son Father George A Loeb - died while visiting family in 1902. He was a priest from Texas, born in Illinois.

I believe the two of them were buried in a Sutton area cemetery. I have looked on the Find-a-grave website, but neither one are listed.

Any help is appreciated.

Hendley and Beaver City are close so I'm not surprised. Mount Hope Cemetery is between Hendley and Beaver City although closer to Beaver.

I found Gideon, Anna, and Hazel Dillin in the Mt Hope Cemetery in Beaver City, Nebraska. The funeral director was kind enough to take pictures for me. I really thought they would be in Hendley where they were living, but I was wrong. Thanks, Pat

I guess I was assuming you knew it was the Hendley Cemetery.
You can go ahead and assign a cemetery and then make the request. You could mention in your request you are uncertain of the cemetery, and the photographer could possibly verify it. I have done that before when I have an educated guess of their burial location.

Unfortunately, you can't request a photo if you don't know the cemetery. Will have to wait until the state of Nebraska does some research.

I hadn't created a FAG entry as I didn't know where in Nebraska they were buried. I assumed Furnas county as that's where the last census I could find had them. I went ahead and made a FAG entry for Gideon, Anna and their daughter Hazel. We'll see if we get a hit. Thanks for the suggestion. Have also requested some help from vital records in Nebraska, they might have a clue as well.

Am currently working on Graceland (Shelby), and I have a directory for this cemetery.
St. Andrews #1 cemetery is fairly inaccessible as it's in the middle of a field and I didn't want to get charged by the cows near it.

I am in that area a couple times a year.
Have you made photo requests on Findagrave?
That is one of the best ways to get photos. I try to check that web site when I have time and am down there.

I'm not sure if Wallace, NB is in your range. I'm looking for Will Wineland. I know every little about him. He was buried around the 16th of Feb 1928. All I know is he is burried at Wallace, Nebr. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know I am kind of late on this, but I may be taking a trip to the Tekamah cemetery this weekend (Sunday, August 26). If by chance you are looking for anyone in this cemetery and would like a picture of a headstone, please email me personally at the address below by Saturday, August 25 and let me know who you are looking for.

Please put TEKAMAH CEMETERY in the subject line so that I do not accidently delete it. I will try to find as many as I can in the time I am there. If there are names there and maps, your chances are pretty good that I will find it if the elements are all there, the name is on the list, and there is a headstone.

If I happen to get a late request, I may make the trip another time. Be patient.

It depends on how early you consider "early" to be. ;-) The Albert Randall family came to Bell Creek by 1880; the Alexander Loftis family came to Logan before 1900. So, not directly in Tekamah, but in the same county.

Do these families that you mention have early roots in the Tekamah area? I was born and raised in Arizona Twp, about 6 miles north and still have quite a few family living in the area and in Tekamah itself. My great grandfather Hiram Lydick and his brother, Jonathan, were among the very early settlers there.

Thanks, Boyd! Since my original post, I found the cemetery directory (it's a bit before the cemetery entrance) and found all my relatives that are there. Now, if only I could find my other relatives in the other cemeteries! Ah well, that will be for another trip.

I have recently heard that there is a new cemetery map and I am trying to get a copy. I have numerous ancestors posted there on Find A Grave. Send me your email and I will let you know if/when I find it.

There is an alphabetical listing posted at the front but it is somewhat outdated. I don't live anywhere near there so I can't help other than trying to locate a current map.

Seeking info on my greatgrandfather, William H Smith. He resided in the Crete, NE area; was a retired physician, had a farm where he raised Percheron horses and Durham cattle. He was listed in the 1885 agriculture census. I have info that he died in Dec. of 1901, but haven't been able to confirm. I am looking for the location of the Hope of Peace Cemetery in Shelton Twp, Buffalo Co, Nebraska. I checked your list of Cemeteries on line and didn't see a reference. The Cox family: Clarence, Elizabeth, Addie (Ellender Adelia), Cora, and Hattie are on a farm on the 1880 census of Shelton Twp, Buffalo Co, Nebraska. Clarence and Elizabeth Cox had two daughters born in Shelton and died as infants: Sharlotte C. Cox b. 7 July 1878, d. the same day, and Della B. Cox b. 23 July 1882, d. in 1882. The only Catholic Cemetery in Lincoln is Calvary Cemetery. You can contact them for burial information if she is buried there:
