Hi,

Thomas, depending on the date of birth, would be Robert Heath's Brother. They have another Brother James, and a sister Elizabeth Heath Eiland. Their Father is James Heath and their Mother is Ann Unknown. Thomas is the eldest Son.

I haven't been able to locate very much information on Thomas. There are some land grants in Chowan Co., NC in 1713, and I have a few documents, but...because there are so many Thomas', James', Roberts' and Johns' in our family, it's a hassle. I know James settled in Craven Co., and Robert in Currituck Co.

I was told back in 2001 that laws have been enacted that will be enforced and that this situation would improve.

Dear Ms. Brickhouse,

Thank you so much for all the things you have been involved with and have accomplished.

We have two things in common.
#1 The Odd Fellows Orphanage
My father-in-law and his four siblings were placed in the Odd Fellows Orphanage in Goldsboro. No matter what I do, I can't get any response from anyone regarding getting information from the old now defunct records. I ran across a name the other day of a gentleman who claims to have had these records turned over to him for organizing but requests to him for information have gone unanswered. Do you have an idea how I may speak to a living breathing person and be able to review these orphanage records? To do his line in the genealogy work I am doing, I need the information. I would really, really, really appreciate it.

#2 The Asa Weaver Family Cemetery - Johnston Co.
An elderly neighbor of the cemetery sates he remembers there being twenty graves. Today, there remains tree stumps, bases for five obelisk head stones, one obelisk head marker lying down, one headstone lying down and one upright headstone that is missing its top. The inscription is broken off and the top part is no where to be found. The person tending the property denies any knowledge of missing head stones but someone living just across the road said workman told him when they cut down trees on the grave site to spray the cotton in the field and had taken the trees and the head stones to the wood line and left them. I can't find anything. A cemetery identification team established back in the 70's at least 8 graves so I know I am on firm ground when I say the farmer has been removing them. Have you learned anything since your original post in 2006 that would prove to be helpful? As above I would really, really, really appreciate it.

Please, if you possibly can - help me with these two matters. Would you respond to this via denningwk@live.com
Thanks!
