My gggrandfather, Cicero Humphreys (1828-1862) was in the Cival War, wounded, died and was buried in Mt Carmel Church Cemetery. I have been told it is in Amite (city or county?), Mississippi.
Does anyone know of this cemetery/area or have a picture or way for me to find a picture of this grave?

That would be Amite County, county seat Liberty.
I couldn't locate that cemetery. I checked findagrave.com, USGenWeb and a couple of other sources. There are lots of Mt Carmel Churches in MS, but none in that county.

Mt Carmel Church Cemetery,
I spent a whole two days going to EVERY cemetery in what was the Mt Carmel Community of Covington County. Atleast every one I could see to go to online. If you find, that the cemetery is really in Covington County, maybe I can help.

From all indications, you should be researching Wilkinson County, MS for your information. Was he married? If so, was his wife's name Josephine P. Cory?

Try searching here http://msgw.org/wilkinson/cemindex.htm

There is a Mt Carmel Church in Jefferson Davis county(it was Covington County during the Civil War). My GGGrandfather and his brothers left from there to go to the war and one of them (Preston Turnage)is buried there. It is off of Hwy 84 about 7 miles east of Prentiss. Google will point it out for you.

I am going to the area within the week and will check it our but have not been there before. Any advice on finding this place? Yes, my gggrandmother was Josephine Cory Humphreys

There is a Mt Carmel Church Cemetery near Natchez, MS. Amite is near Natchez and you can take Liberty Road to get there from Natchez without getting on the highway much. Kingston road is located off hwy 61.

This is from http://msgw.org/adams/retirement.htm#ret_cem

[Note: Carmel Church and Cemetery are located about 1 or 2 miles from Ogden Rd off of Kingston Rd. The Church is on a hill, on the left of Carmel Rd. The area is cleared, but with large pecan, oak, and poplar trees in the yard. The cemetery is nestled down in the woods behind the church, and is overgrown.]

This old cemetery is located in the woods behind the Mt. Carmel Church, south of Natchez. To reach the cemetery from Natchez, take US 61 south to Kingston Rd. Take Kingston Road several miles to Carmel Church Rd. The church is on a hill to the left, less than a mile on Carmel Church Road.

The church was formed as a Presbyterian Church about 1829 by the SMITHS, GILLESPIES and OGDENS. It is now used by a Baptist congregation. (1996) Many of the graves have unreadable tombstones which are buried, badly broken, or missing.

A wrought iron fence surrounds one part of the cemetery; a wife fence surrounds another part. Some graves are outside of the fences.

Sarah Cook SMITH, wife of Rev. Jedadiah SMITH and mother of Calvin, Luther, Philander SMITH is supposed to be buried in this cemetery; however her headstone was not found. She died in 1800. Other family members are supposed to be buried here.

Also there is a Mount Carmel Church in Wilkinson County. Crosby is a town in Amite and Wilkinson counties, Mississippi. The location is near to 800-2198 Mount Carmel Rd, Crosby, MS 39633, coordinates 31.212771, -91.103674 . This location seems more likely the one you are looking for.

Hope this helps a little.
