I am trying to locate Duff Cemetery in Lawrence County Missouri. Cornelius Cornine is said to be buried there. He is my great great great grandfather. Also, I was wondering if his daughter Elizabeth Mary CAtherine Cornine Grissom Hawker was buried there, also. It is, supposedly, on the edge of a farm that used to belong to the elder relative so it may be unmarkred at this time.

Thanks.

Duff Cemetery is located west of Mt. Vernon, out on V Highway. I'm pretty sure it's in the vicinity of Baptist Hill, a church camp.

Dear abc20031:

Would you give a little bit better directions as to where this cemetery is located? How far on V Highway? Where is Baptist Hill, this is coming from someone that has never been there?

Also, for anyone that has access or can send me information death certificates, plat maps for Lawrence Co., etc... for Cornelius Cornine that would be greatly appreciated...

My Grandma (Betty Cornine (nee Kresiel)), and I have access to the Family Bible here in Pettis County for the Cornine Family. Right now it does not have very much in it at all.

Also, Does anyone know is the Pilkenton side of the family have any Indian hertiage in them at all? My mom and my Grandparents are and have been trying to find out this for the past 10 to 20 years, and have been unsuccessful at finding this information.

Is Tempie or Tempa Pilkenton a Indian name? Tempa or Tempie came from North Carolina, Wilkes Co.. In the ancestor linage that "kentuckycooper" posted, in this same thread, is the same ancestor linage that I have.

Kevin ,
I just clicked on it and it worked for me... maybe the site was busy. When it is busy it loads slows and the page is blank white but if you wait a minute it will load. Please try it again. Good luck!!

Do a search for a cemetery at Find A Grave and you will find Cornelius and click on him and there is quite a writeup on him and his family.

Leon:

I know this already because I posted the information on Find A Grave, but I need more than this to make sure this is correct.
