St Francis Xavier Cemetery aka Ecorse, Michigan Cemetery

I have approx. 2,460 names of those buried at the Ecorse Cemetery which is actually St Francis Xavier's cemetery. Capacity for the cemetery is 2,4000 graves. Many buried there are infants, and young children which were buried in half graves. I'm sure there are more names to discover and will continue to look for them. If you happen to have prove that someone is buried there send it along to me at dalerenaud@wowway.com You must have some kind of source for your person being there. There are currently 705 people with stones and 1,756 without. Transcribing sometime can be tough so some names might be spelled wrong and I'm sure there are quite a few.

Here's all the Chenavier's I have at the cemetery. There are none with headstones at the cemetery. These are all unmarked graves. The [ ] are my sources for where i got the information. Her death certificate should be online if she died in Michigan in 1915 and that'll tell you where she was buried! I'll look for her and if she's at Ecorse Cemetery I'll add her. You can always write me direct at dalerenaud@wowway.com

Just checked and yes she is buried at St Francis Xavier Cemetery aka Ecorse Cemetery. I'll add her to my data base. I run into people passing away I Detroit and buried there once and a while. With Detroit being so huge it would take me forever to find them all. I'm sure you might already knew the information but it says she's the daughter of John Batteshill & Julia Summerfield.

Surnames: Rousse
Sorry, I tired emailing but can'tgreen to get it to got through.

I recently found an entry in an old family bible stating that a child was buried in Ecorse, MI.  The entry states he was buried " in Ecorse, Michigan grave yard on the west side, the 11th grave North of No. 116.". His name was Adelor Ovila Rousse and died Feb 16, 1899.  He was only 2 months old.  I live just outside Windsor, ON. I was thinking of going to look for the gravesite myself, but if it isn't marked, I'm sure it would never find the location.  Any help or information you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Lori

I do have her in my data base but she does not have a marker and you saved yourself the trip unless you have others buried there. I got the information from her death certificate and I did say she. d/o Orea & Yella Wilder. Correct me if i have the wrong speelings because i like to correct things that are not correct. The cemetery markers are long gone, once and a while i run across one but without the site map which was destroyed years ago it wouldn't do any good. There are some Rousson with markers and that's the closest in spelling to your Rousse. dalerenaud@wowway.com Many miss the two W's in the wowway and sometimes i miss it when i write it.

Surnames: Gignac, Lafrance
Hello!
Thank you for all of your work with this cemetery! I am looking for the burial place of a married couple, Emery (or Emile) Gignac and his wife Justina Gignac née Lafrance. He was born about 1883 and she was born 1884. They both died late 1940s or early 1950s. Do you have either of these names in your database? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
