I have found my gg grandfather, Samuel Shunk, buried in Mountian View cemetery in Union Bridge, MD.

Is there anyone that knows if this cemetery is still there? Is there any way to get any record information?

I am trying to find his father Daniel Shunk who died Mar 1860 somewhere around Union Bridge.

Thank You
Sharon

Yes Mountain Veiw Cemetery in Union Bridge, Maryland is still there. I was just there last week looking for my great aunt.

Is there a way to contact anyone there? Is there a church or something?

No, there is no church at the cemetery. I think that it is a community cemetery. My great great aunt's funeral was held at the Union Bridge Methodist Church and then she was taken to Mountain View Cemetery to her final resting place. I did not find the church (there's reconstruction going on in Union Bridge and I was lucky to find my way back home). I live in Frederick County, Frederick, Maryland. Union Bridge is just 15 or so minutes away from me. When I do research in our local historical society I will check on the church.

thanks, please let me know what you find out. I am really at a brick wall on my family, most of which is from Frederick, MD.
