Cambridge Rindge ave tells me my aunt is not there, yet cert. states she is.. I have been to every church, Holy Cross Malden for records, the Arch, Camb. City hall, and more. It's been a full year of looking for her. Any help, appreciated.
Good luck to all, trying to obtain information. It's extremly difficult. Looking for my aunt, Giuseppa Fratto, aka Josephina Fratto/Fratta, and Pepina FrattA/Fratto. Born in 1907, died in 1908. Please reply, and and all help greatly appreciated. I want to place her with her siblings and family who are together in another cemetary. Thank you.

I have been to this cemetery numerous times as a number of ancestors are buried there. My own personal experience in speaking with the office is: It is run by Catholic Cemetery Association for the Archdiocese of Boston. Here is the website that includes the cemetery you refer to. http://ccemetery.org/
Some records they simply do not have. In order for them to locate anything for you they need a specific : Month/Day/Year of death. The still have to look thru books for the information. The cemetery is on Rindge Avenue, Cambridge and has been known to go by different names. North Cambridge Catholic Cemetery and Cambridge Rindge Cemetery or even Rindge Avenue Cemetery. What specifically does the death certificate state? There is a Cambridge Cemetery which is totally separate and in a different location.

Ah, I found your Aunt's death cert. on Ancestry. Call the local number listed on the website I gave you. Or perhaps you already have? It would not be unheard of that at the last minute burial location is changed and the records were not updated. Give it another try and please do let me know how it goes.

Thank you Danburke good advice! I hope Gail gets your message and follows the links.

For Gail...
(1) Your Aunt was a baby. Have you checked with the cemetery to see if they have a separate area for "babies only" ? Often times there are no other family members buried in the cemetery so parents will place with other babies.

(2) Follow the date of death trail... that is, were there other family members whose death preceded 1907. Perhaps she is with them in their plot?

I saw your listing on FAG... in N. Cambridge Cemetery
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=14...
others are in Cambridge Cemetery... as you know.

Excellent sudown re: FAG. I do not believe there is an only section for babies in the cemetery, but it doesn't hurt to ask. She very well may be buried in St. Michaels in Boston with the rest of the ancestors.

Gail: I would make the inquiry at St. Michaels as well. http://www.stmichaelcemetery.com/
Although, I just checked, she is not listed in their online info, but I would call anyway. IMO

Just to cover all bases, you may wish to call Cambridge Cemetery as well. That cemetery is a staffed location.

To Danburk and Sundown, Just returning to this page, as had family illness , for months. I have done all of what you have suggested, to no avail. Holy Cross, Malden Mass tried very hard to help me and it took some time in their duing so, again, to no avail. All avenues have turned up nothing. I don't know why this child would be buried in Cambridge when other siblings (died a few yrs later) were at St. Mikes/Boston. I've gone through as many names as I could for 1907/1908 at the N. Camb. Catholic web page again to no avail. I appreciate all your suggestions, and time in offering them. I don't know where else or how else I might come to put this piece of the puzzle together, but also know, so many are trying to do likewise. Thank you. Gail

Completely understand being there for family. Did you give St. Mikes a call as well as Cambridge Cemetery? Sometimes we just might never find where they are. Again her burial location may have changed at the last minute. Another thought, it's a stretch though. There is a St. Paul's Cemetery in Arlington, MA. Pretty much a stones throw from North Cambridge Catholic. I know they are staffed at the location. Have been there. I think you need to call the Cemetery division back on that Cemetery.1.781.322.6300. Not sure what web page you referred to for North Cambridge Catholic either. (They don't have one).
