Anyone familiar with Saint Paul's Cemetery in Arlington, MA?

I'm looking for my gr-gr grandmother's grave, but I'm having a really difficult time locating a cemetery map or a section map. I contacted the cemetery and requested a map a couple of weeks ago and I have yet to hear from them.

Does anyone know if there's a copy of the map online anywhere, I spent most of my days canvasing the cemetery hoping to get lucky, but no luck :(

Hi Emily,

Unfortunately, we get very help in regard to Catholic cemeteries. In some cases, no help. That is unless we want to put out lots of money to the "Catholic Cemetery Office." This happened 2-3 years ago, and it was not good for genealogists. I don't remember the exact name of that office or the details, but probably someone else can offer it.

We wanted to find the gravesite for my husband's GAVIN great-grandparents in the Calvary Cemetery in Waltham 2 summers ago. And, not only did we receive any information I thought the lady in the cemetery office that day was unpleasant.

I can write to the cemetery office in the other cemetery in Arlington, and get lots of information. The same for the "Cambridge Cemetery" and the one in Medford. But I've never received any help at all when it regards a Catholic cemetery. (There is only one, small cemetery in Somerville, I believe, and I don't know about Belmont. (Thinking of the towns bordering on Arlington.)

Betty (near Lowell, MA)

I have a map if you still need it.

I have had wonderful luck with the Catholic Cemetery office - very helpful.

If you are familiar with the area, have you seen any Mahoneys at this cemetery?

I am very familiar - been going there since I was little - made the rounds on Memorial Day with my grandmother!!
Anyway - yes I'm sure I've seen Mahoney's.

The Catholic Cemetery in Malden has been very helpful - with that cemetery and the one in Cambridge on Rindge Ave - there number is 781-322-6300- ask for records. If you have a name and date - they'll look for you. If you just have a name - they might charge for a 'genealogy' lookup. I've never been charged - staff has been more than helpful. If you live in the area they are located in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

or do you need some death record lookups first?
You can go to www.familysearch.org
next screen, if it comes up sometimes it doesn't go this way
you would click on 'try updated site'
next screen scroll down and click on'usa, canada, mexico'
next screen scroll down until you find Mass death records
If you need help, let me know.
