St Paul Cemetery in Blackstone Mass
I am looking for my great great Grandmother Grave. Her name was Catherine Cleary Arnold. She should have been buried in St Paul about 1882 to 1890. Can anyone help me?

Re: St Paul Cemetery in Blackstone Mass
I think you are going to have to call the Church there, which may direct you to the Worcester Archdiocese, which may charge you for a look up. At least that's how the cemeteries under the Boston Archdiocese works. There is a link on this site to the parish cemetery but it's not working for me. I suggest you give St. Paul Parish a call. Good luck: http://stpaulblackstone.org/Lisa

Re: St Paul Cemetery in Blackstone Mass
Greetings,
I have a complete listing of all the cemeteries in Blackstone (my hometown) including St. Paul's, and have one Catharine Arnold, b. 1844; d. 8/23/1881, m. Peter Arnold, b. 1843; d. 7/21/1873. Their plot is located in the geographic middle of the cemetery, near where the main road into the cemetery curves around to another entrance which is now (I believe) permanently closed. If you are in or going to be in the area and want further directions let me know. If you want a photo of the stone I MAY be headed down there in a week or so.
I also have complete or near-complete listings for many of the other surrounding towns as well if needed.
Best wishes, John P. Fox

Re: St Paul Cemetery in Blackstone Mass
Mr. Fox:
I am trying to locate information about the Kellys that lived on Main Street in Blackstone from the late 1800s until the late 1990s. I am particularly interested in two Patrick Kellys. One who was born in County Tipperary, Ireland around March 17, 1802 and died in Blackstone (we think) between 1870 and 1880. And his son, who was born in County Tipperary, Ireland around 1841, and died in Blackstone around December 30, 1901.
I have a long list of other Kellys who we think were born, lived, and died in Blackstone, but these 2 would be a great start.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Fred Kelly

Re: St Paul Cemetery in Blackstone Mass
Hi John,
I'm hoping you're still getting messages from this post? If so, I would love to see a copy of the Blackstone cemetery records you mention below, especially that of St. Paul's. I'm researching McCools in the mid-19th century and although I've found a few I've run into some blocks as well, which is complicated by the fact that I rarely get to the Blackstone area.
I'm at coolmcjazz at aol-dot-com – if you could get back to there I'd greatly appreciate it!
Thanks, Jason

Re: St Paul Cemetery in Blackstone Mass
I have been searching online for two of my great great grandfather's siblings. They left Foyran, County Westmeath and settled (we think) in Blackstone, MA and Uxbridge MA. I have found the death record for Julia Lynch in Blackstone - she was aged 80 and died in 1915, born in Ireland in 1813. How could I trace cemetery reords for her in Blackstone? Her brother Michael Lynch lived in Uxbridge. My line of the Lynch family ended up in Australia.

Re: St Paul Cemetery in Blackstone Mass
HI Catherine I have done work in Blackstone,Mass. You need to go to American French Genealogical Society ,they have records for all the cemeteries around Blackstone including Uxbridge. Also join New England Genealogy Society they have a lot of information on every town in New England. The price for NEGS is 75.00 a year but it is worth it. Good Luck.

Re: St Paul Cemetery in Blackstone Mass
Greetings,
I have no listing in my records for a Julia Lynch matching those dates being buried in Blackstone. I do have a Michael Lynch (c. 1813 - 1/4/1887) being buried in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Uxbridge along with parents Owen and Margaret.
Someone below offered the AFGS website collection. About 95% of what they have came from me, as I donated the fruits of my hobby of cemetery transcription to them a few years ago.
Sorry to not be able to help further. Best of luck to you in your research.

Re: St Paul Cemetery in Blackstone Mass
I hope you are still checking this board. I have been searching for the grave of my ancestors from Blackstone for a while now. I am not sure which cemetery he is buried in, but Gregory Mullen/in supposedly was buried in Woonsocket, RI but had lived in Blackstone, MA. I know there is one cemetery in Blackstone that is located in both Blackstone and Woonsocket but when I called I was basically told that "he probably isn't buried here." Gregory Mullen/in was born in 1814 and died in 1884. The name of his 2nd wife was Catherine (Gilfoil (MN) Galvin) and his 1st wife was Mary (Curran). Any information you can provide is appreciated.
