Has anyone information on a Niles Center Cemetery?
According to my gr grandfather's (Peter Schmidt/tt) death certificate, he was buried there on May 8, 1903, but I can find nothing about a cemetery by this name. I've found Niles Center was renamed Skokie and Niles Center Road. I called St Peter's Catholic Cemetery because it's in Skokie and on Niles Center Road - but with no luck in locating my gr grandfather.

Richard,
Thank you for your help. I actually found my gr grandfather in a small church cemetery in Skokie. To make a long story short, Niles Center is now Skokie, I made a couple of phone calls to cemeteries in Skokie and was very fortunate to talk with helpful sextons.
So another lesson learned - the cemetery location on a death certificate doesn't necessarily mean the cemetery name - it could mean the town's name...

THERE ARE TWO LUTHERAN CEMETERY'S IN SKOKIE, FORMALY NILES CENTER. ST. PAUL'S LUTHERAN CEMETERY AND ST. PETER'S LUTHERAN CEMETERY. BOTH ARE LOCATED JUST NORTH OF MAIN ST. ON I BELIEVE HARMS ROAD. ONE IS ACROSS THE STREET FROM EACH OTHER AND THERE ARE LOTS OF GERMAN FAMILIES BURIED THERE. I HAVE A LIST OF NAMES THAT WAS COMPILES A NUMBER OF YEARS AGO AND FOUND IT OF GREAT INTEREST. IF YOU WOULD SEND ME THE NAMES YOUR ARE SEARCHING, I WILL TRY TO FIND THEM.

I'm looking for the grave site of Caroline Lena Hankemeyer who was buried in St. Paul's Cemetery in Skokie IL. Her daughters and son in law, Alfred and Edith Luecht and William and Anna Fregin were buried there also. Does anyone have any more info on them or photos of their monuments?

You could create memorials on the Find A Grave website for those you know are buried at Saint Pauls Lutheran Church Cemetery in Skokie, Cook Co. IL.
Then "request photos" so volunteers in the area can take pictures.

I am wondering if you could look on your list for Fred/Fritz and Sophia Miller/Muller, who we believe died in Niles Center between 1900 and 1920. I have not been able to find anything conclusive. Thank you.
