I am trying to locate where John McDonald (or his wife "Mary"), died about 1840; Samuel Barber (died about 1823), and Joseph Barber (date I don't remember), are buried in Jefferson County, Georgia. There may be other family members who died young buried there also. There is a question as to did John or Mary McDonald die about 1840. Report says the person was buried on the Ogeechee River, so the cemetery isn't far from the river, it seems. There is some family connection it seems between the McDonalds and Barbers. Joseph took over the estate ans guardianship of Samuel's children when he died, then when Joseph died, John McDonald took over both estates, and the guardianship of the children of both of them for a short time. Was "Mary" a Barber? Any information would be appreciated.
