Looking at what is online, including a Family Tree seems her birth date matches a Mildred Brown in the SSDI (Social Security Death Index) that died Apr 1975. No last address but SSN was issued in California before 1951. No guarantee this is her, as those who died before starting benefits and about 1980 usually are not in the SSDI. But you can make a FOIA request for a copy of her SSN (Number included but I do not post) to see if the parents name matches your grandmother.

She is in the 1940 Census, wife of a L.B.(P) Grundman in Los Angeles CA and in the California Voter List of 1942 in San Gabriel, LA County, listed below a Lugene P. Grundman both have same address and are Democrats.

Lugene P Grundman is listed alone in 1944 CA Voter list.

1945 Long Beach City Directory has a Mildred K. Grundman as a Stenographer so she had a SSN before 1951.

Oct/Nov 1969 her daughter ran an add in Classifieds of Long Beach paper looking for her or information about her.

I can't locate a Mildred Brown in the CA Death Index or any Mildred, no last name with birth date 12/12/1911. Problem is she might have a different birth year later as I have seen in the past woman with "younger" birth years.

Look for divorce and marriage records in Los Angeles County for Grundman and Mildred. Remarriage maybe under maiden name or Grundman. Look in NV for both too.

Haven't looked in a long time but Vital Search had CA databases, some free most pay. FamilySearch.org has recently added more CA databases. I used Ancestry to find what I did.

Edit..
FamilySearch.org has image of marriage license for a Mildred Grundman nee Simpkins, parents George Simpkins and Ethel George, to a Gus Paterson on April 14, 1947. She was a Federal Civil Service employee, stated this was 3rd marriage. Since she is listed as a Clerk and Stenographer in City Directories she probably worked in the Federal Court House in Long Beach, is my guess.
BUT...there is another marriage license for the same Gus Paterson dated Feb. 14, 1954 that has stated previous marriage annulled.
So Mildred had to use her maiden name or back to Grundman after annulment. The court record should reflect this. If the annulment happened soon after the marriage she might have not had time to change her forms of ID to Paterson from Grundman.
