Old Mexican part of Cemetery
Does anyone know about the old Mexican part of the Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights, Gila, Arizona? Family members say the graves are not marked. Would the courthouse or Mortuary have any records? I'm looking for Rajina Romero. It should be Regina, I think. She died in 1919 in Miami, Gila, AZ

Re: Old Mexican part of Cemetery
I also have a relative that I have searched for in the Pinal Cemetery. I contacted the Gila county Historical Society in Globe AZ and they helped me find my relative. Their phone and address are:
1330 N Broad Street Globe, AZ 85501
telephone: (928) 425-7385
Also is you go on Findagrave.com and set up a memorial page and then request a photo someone may be able to try to locate the grave for you. I have found them to be very helpful there.

Thank you so much. We're going to Globe on Friday for a funeral. Maybe I'll find her and who knows how many other relatives.

Re: Old Mexican part of Cemetery
Good Luck! I haven't been there but I hear its a really large cemetery. I would stop by the historical society and get a map and maybe they can lead you in the right direction. Happy hunting!

Re: Old Mexican part of Cemetery
Unfortunately, I've been there too many times. There is a current section and an old section that is supposedly unmarked. That's where I'm going to venture into tomorrow. The cemetery is a mess. No order. All desert. Not pretty and green with neat rows like most that I've been to. Thanks for your help. Martha
