Seeking the final resting place for James A. Gibson of Pickens co. AL who died between 1870 and 1880. He was a practicing physician in 1870, also that of his daughter Addie O. Gibson. His mother was Elizabeth S. Harrington Gunter. Other family members are buried at what is known as the Phoenix cemetery?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Re: Pickens county burials
Dr. Peter Tittle & Elizabeth (Harrington) Gunter was buried at the Phenoix Cemetery, behind Bethelham Baptist Church, and a local fire department, off of Hwy. 27, & Bill Taylor Road.

Thanks very much for the additional info on the cemetery. I was trying to find out in particular if James A. Gibson is also buried there.

Re: Pickens county burials
There is a James Gibson (d. 1873) buried at Oak Grove Franconia Cemetary. The 1850 census says he was born in NC. All of the census records I have found list him as a planter and not a physician. I am descended from his wife, Sarah's brother.
