Location of Eagle cemetery - Eagle, AK
I have seen descriptions and the USGS map location of what I believe to be the Eagle cemetery in Eagle, AK. I have determined this latitude/longitude for its location:
64.791392 -141.228498
If you cut and paste these into Google map search you will see the location.
Does anyone know if the cleared area shown in the photo at that location is the cemetery? There is supposed to be a BLM campground next to the cemetery and I am not sure if what I am looking at is the cemetery or the campgound.

Re: Location of Eagle cemetery - Eagle, AK
Hi NWpioneer~
I'm not sure if you ever located the info you were looking for or not? I live in Anchorage and haven't been to Eagle in quite a few years.. I used to know the VPSO there (Village Public Safety Officer) but I think he moved into town and became a trooper. :/
If you're still looking for that info though ~ maybe you can try calling the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve in Eagle? They keep a page on Facebook (or you can just google their contact numbers.) Seeing as they're a federal agency like BLM.. if they don't have the info, they'll probably know where to get it for you. Hopefully, you've already found what you're looking for? :0)

Re: Location of Eagle cemetery - Eagle, AK
Looks like it would be the area indicated by the arrow. The camp ground looks to be up at the end of the campground road. There is Eagle City and also Eagle Village. The Eagle Village was washed out by a flood and relocated. You could contact the Eagle Museum to find out for sure.

I meant to say the Eagle Village Cemetery was washed out and relocated.
