I do not have any pictures from Porticello. However, I do know some members of the Crivello family from Porticello, that live in the same town as I do, Novato, CA. Could you be related? I know they go back to Sicillia on a regular basis and perhaps either know details about your grandmother, or possibly could research it on one of their trips? Please let me know if you would like their contact info and send me your name/contact info for me to pass on to them.

My Grandmother is Maria Crivello (her maiden name was Anello). I don't know her birth date but I know that she died on 25 Dec (about 1970). I'm not sure what cemetery she is in but she lived in Porticello. I'm hoping you might have a picture and hopefully her exact birth date.

Cemetery in San Tommaso, Caramanico

My ancestors are buried in San Tommaso cemetery. From my great, great, great, great grandfather in 1750 to my father in 1933 were all born in San Tommaso. I live in Australia so does any body know how I could get photos of my ancestors headstones ? This is not easy because of the language barrier and the fact I don't know anyone living in San Tommaso. Any ideas please ??

Hi...can't remember if I replied to you or not but.....
I have no problem trading pictures with you....just go online to Find a Grave and you'll find pictures from the cemeteries of both Vittorito and Popoli. All the pictures I took are online at Find a Grave, so that other people can find their family. You could do the same ..... :)

Hi, I have some Di Silvestro's in my tree. It appears that they're from Vittorito (Vittorito & Popoli are VERY close and there was a lot of family "interchange" between the 2 towns). If you give me your email, I'll send you my genealogy report on the Di Silvestro's...I tried attaching to this, but it won't take it. Did you try searching the LDS familysearch.org site?? It's really pretty good and the person who "did Vittorito" was very good and accurate (many are NOT). If you go to find a grave site, I put some cemetery photos online from Vittorito and Popoli. Does anyone have a photo of the Cementery at Rovito? The Church is Santa Barbara. Looking for the graves of my grand father Francesco Santo Mazzuca and Grand mother Barbara Pellegrino Mazzuca, and great grandfather Vincenzo Pecora and his wife Concetta Donato Pecora.

I do not know. I took pictures and info from any surname that was familiar to me as being related to me, but none of those are familiar. I walked through the entire cemetery several times, and those don't stand out, but it is possible that there are some of them there. I am sorry I couldn't be of more help, or bring you good news.

Hi, I'm new at this so would appreciate any ones help.
My grandparents Great Grandmother Concetta Speziale Marchese came over to Canada in 1910 with 3 children. A widow....My greatgrandfathers name was Giaccino Marchese.
Died around 1908 in the salt mines...

My grandfather came with his brothers, Angelo, Sam, Niccolo, and My grandfather Giovanni, Borsellino, I think they also had a sister named MaryAnne who married a Zizzo.

Would be interested if any Speziale, Marchese, or Borsellino are burried there. (they came from Rocalmuto)

I have many grave photos from 2 cemeteries in Abruzzo, Italy. I have them listed and photographed on "Find A Grave" website. They are for the towns of Popoli and Vittorito and are called: Cimitero di Popoli and the next is called Cimitero Vittorito.

I am interested in the DeFrancesco gravemarker(Are the dates in the 1800's?) you have-the dates and place. I thank you for doing this for other people who cannot go to Italy. Do you know anyone who may of taken a trip to Donnici Consenza Calabria Italy??

I'm a peruvian genealogist, and i search about my maternal last name (SANGUINETI) my great-great grand father was Emanuele Sanguineti, born in Chiavari in 1849, son of Angelo Antonio Sanguineti & Giulia Virginia Fonatarossa.

You have pics of Sanguineti tombs or burials? please send me pics of Sanguineti people buried in the Sanguineto cementery.

I took many photos of tombstones at the cemetery during our visit in April 2009. Unfortunately, I couldn't get close enough for the details since the entrance gate was locked. But hopefully, these are of some interest to some people. The surnames listed are those that can be found in the attached photos. Contact me if you need a larger version of the photo.

Thank you so much for posting the pictures. They printed out fine. I think they are relatives. Do you have any idea how old the cemetery is? I know the cemetery in nearby Rapallo dates from 1912 or so.

I found a few more pics of the Zignaigo family for you. Let me know if you need me to send these to an email address, since the resolution might be a little better. However, I tried to read the dates, and when I enlarge the photos, the writing is to blurry. Anyway, there is an Anna Zignaigo and Luigi Zignaigo buried here. The big tombstone says "Famiglia Guiseppe Zignaigo"

In your first picture there is a background tomb of the Zignaigo family. This family may be connected to the family I am researching. Do you have a closer picture of that tomb? When was cemetery established?

Hello, I recently took a trip to Italy to visit the small town of Sanguineto, just a few miles outside of Chiavari. I took many pictures of the cemetery, with thoughts that I might be able help someone in their genealogy search. If you save the pictures to your computer, you can probably zoom in and try to read more of the text. However, some of the stones are so old and worn, they are almost impossible to read.
