Could someone please help me translate this inscription? I can puzzle most of it out but not all of it.

I am rearching Charles Conrad Meyer (1860-1904?) from Rising Fawn, Ga. Cannot find where he left germany or where he arrived here but have a picture that was sent to me by a relative who went to Germany and got a picture of his mothers grave.
All I can make out is her first name is possibly Thekla.

It reads as follows;

Hier ruhet in Gott (Heres rests in God)
Frau Thekla yerw. Dr. Klaunig (Frauline Thekla ?)
geb. Berndt (?)
geb d 22 april 1824 in leipzig (birthdate?)
gest.d.8 sept (rest blocked by plant in picture. figure this is date of death?)

Thank you for the help!

Frau (Mrs) Thekla (first name)(maybe at the time of her death she was married to Dr. Klaunig)
geb Berndt (this is her maiden name) geb stands for born
gest means died

Thekla verw. Dr. Klaunig
verw. = verwitwet = widowed
means she was at date of her death the widow of Dr. Klaunig.
geb. Berndt = nee Berndt
geb. with date = geboren/born on...
gest. with date = gestorben/died on...

Saw your message and I have a cousin who is interested in knowing if Thekla Meyer was the daughter of Mary Meyer; who married secondly to Upson P. Powell? My cousin is applying for the DAR through the Powell lineage and she would be interested in talking with you with regards to Upson's mother, Elizabeth. Can you contact her at springerpc@msn.com? She does not use Ancestry. Thanks, in advance. DBalderson2166

I just came across your search item. I would read the item: the 2nd line as: Frau Thekla verw. (widowed) Dr. Klaunig

Was she married to a Dr. Klaunig? The wive always took on the Dr. title even she was not a Dr. I hope this will help.
