Dunns Chapel Cemetery, Highland County, Ohio. Photos

I have posted photos of about 75 headstones in the old section of Dunn's Chapel Cemetery in Highland County, Ohio. Surnames include Zink, Horner, Sinclair, Fenner, Boatright, Duncan, Russell, Grady, Mullenix, Manker, Frost, VanPelt, Murphy, Foster, and Jacklin. My focus was on pre-1860 headstones, so I did not photograph all of the stones. Please feel free to copy and use all photos. I have posted some of these photos on findagrave. If you would like to post some of them, please do. The graves are for Guy Ellory McGrew (1888-1972) and his wife Ella (Bower) McGrew (1889-1943). If you could get me a picutre of both graves I would really appreciate it.

May 30 1867 (not sure of death date)
their daughter Hattie B. b. April 10 1884 d. April 9 1886
their son Ralph H. b. June 24 1882 d. Aug 2 1917

George's half brother...
Charles H. Prouty 1832-1911
his wife Almeda R. d. March 10 1879
their son Forrest G. Prouty d. Nov. 3 1865
their daughter Eve M. (Prouty) Marsh d. Sept 5 1887
their daughter Bertrand Prouty d. Aug 1890

My Great Grandfather..
Raymond H.
Hi and thank you for your offer!

My great-grandfather was buried at West Park. He was born Albert C Jenny on 10-21-1853 and died 10-07-1926. I have some numbers from the LDS website of 1572A-3287A, but I don't know what they mean. I have just recently found where he is buried and if you can find him, I would greatly appreciate a picture. I live in Arizona and have not been back to Ohio since I was 9-a very long time ago. My great grandmother's name was Rosa but I cannot find out her death. They were both born in Switzerland.

Thank you for anything you find in advance!

Sincerely,

Karen Jenny Stunz

Hello! I have six family members buried here, and drive through quite often. If anyone wants photos, burial information, etc. for this cemetery, please message me and I will do my best to assist you. I know how important it is to document our ancestries, and if we are unable to personally visit a cemetery, a photo of the marker is the next best thing. Thanks for reading, and have a great day.

In the Little River area a town called Pleasantridge had a cemetery. Later this area changed to Linden then to Newalla. It is in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. This area was also called Norman or the county was County 3. This cemetery had a school attached to it that my family started. It was called Pleasantridge then it was changed to Knoles. Sometimes it was misspelled Knowles. The W doesn't belong.

If you have any photos of this school, cemetery, people or this area, I would love to see them.

Lisa Windle-Westbrook
Knoles Cemetery
KnolesSchoolCemetery@gmail.com
I would very much live a photograph of my 2 greats grandfather and grandmother's tombstones. They are buried in the Old Cemetery at Schuyler's Lake Exeter Otsego, NY.

Burrel Story was a hatmaker. He was born in 1772 in Connecticut and buried in 1858 at Schuyler’s Lake, Exeter, Otsego.

He married Laura Hamilton Story, daughter of Daniel Hamilton and Kezziah Keyes Hamilton.

Residences for Burrel Story include Hartwick, Otsego, NY (1810); Norwich, Chenango, NY (1820); and Schuyler’s Lake, Exeter, Otsego, NY (1830 to 1858.)

Daniel Hamilton, Burrel’s father in law, was a revolutionary war vet and graduate of West Point. Laura and Burrel Story had 2 children Harriet Story Scott b. 1815 and Joseph Story b. 1834. Laura’s siblings were Almira, Artusa, Luman, Fanny, John, Mary “Polly,” Melinda, Kezziah.

Both Laura and Burrel Story are buried in the Old Cemetery at Schuyler’s Lake Exeter, Otsego. The Story children moved to the Chicago area where they are buried. Joseph Story was a dry goods salesman, and Harriet Story made confections. Joseph married Margaret McGown. Harriet married George Scott.
According to the history that's been passed down by family members, William Bulmer (Sara Ann Levely's husband) had 3 brothers: Harry, Richard and John, and one sister: Pamela.

Joseph Bulmer & Eliza Davidson had the following children as far as I can tell so far: Eliza (born 1838 in Loftus), James (born 1940 in Loftus), Sarah (born 1842 in Loftus), William (born 1845 in Loftus), Mary (born 1847 in Loftus), Joseph (born 1849 in Loftus), Richard (born abt 1853 in South Hetton, England), and Elizabeth (born 1854 in Loftus)

The only two names that match what the family has passed down is William's and Richard, otherwise the information doesn't really match. Has anyone been able to reconcile this?

Neither are into genealogy so I am not for sure how long it will take me to get them to check it out.
There were several Boudreau's that lives in that area.

Can photo cemeteries in and around Jefferson County, Kentucky

I'm willing to try to get photos for those who need them in the Jefferson County, Kentucky and some of the surrounding area. I've completed my photographing of every readable memorial within the cemetery, and have over 8,000 photographs taken at Eastern.

I don't mind searching a bit, but a plot location would be really nice if you have one. Been doing this for almost 3 years, so fairly familiar with some of the local cemeteries.

You can reach me at my email: sailorman@insightbb.com

Thanks.
Bobby
