I have about 1/4 of the Laukaa (Central Finland) cemetery graves photographed, taken in 2007. I also have an uncomplete list of over 1000 people buried there. The names were taken straight from the tombstones so they might include some more information of the grave than just the dates.

Laukaa cemetery is still actively used and my pictures go down to about 1800s.

I can't photograph any more of them but can look for specific people.

Aloha, Just wondering if that is a Hawaiian name for a graveyard in finland? And if so, how did that happen? And a Big Mahalo (Thank You) for taking these pictures. So nice of you. We all appreciate people like you who give back. Mahalo!

Hi, no, it's a Finnish name. For the life of me can't remember the origin of it but the town itself is over 400 years old and the name is much older than that.

Not sure if they are buried there but would you mind looking for Abraham Isoluoma and Kate Isoluoma? Would have died sometime after 1900 they were in their 60's then but did live a hard life and had an interesting story from the states.

I was wondering if you have any JUONI there. I know the father was Matthew and buried in that area of Finland. Just wondering. Thanks!
