I grew up in Plymouth, Yar Co, on the farm that goes back to my 3rd great-grandfather (Jesse Gray jr, 1791-1868). My father went to the little school house about 1/4 mile away and would take a shortcut through the woods to get there. This shortcut took him straight through an old graveyard behind a house. The lady who owned that house when I was growing up was called Mrs Bradley. Nobody really knew her well, she was most known for her huge well-trimmed lawn and her dislike of anyone on her property. She had been approached by a few people asking for access to this graveyard for research purposes but she denied its existence. My father clearly remembers jumping over the headstones on his way to school ... the cemetery does exist. My family moved out of the area over 20 years ago, likely old Mrs Bradley isn't there anymore and I have no idea who is. I'm wondering if anyone in this group is from that area or has had this problem before and any ideas of how I might go about getting access to this long lost piece of history.
