I have just found out that my great uncle Samuel Maycock was buried here in 1903. He died from drowning on 26th May 1903 - he would have been about 13.

He arrived in Halifax as a home child from the Middlemore Home in Birmingham, with his brother Arthur in 1901. I have no idea what happened to the boys when they arrived or who was responsible for them. I would be so grateful for any information whatsoever - either about Samuel's life and death or about his grave or burial.
