Surnames: CARON
Jospeh CARON is a First World War war dead whose burial location is currently unknown. He was born in Kippewa, Ontario (ON) and his Next of Kin were listed as his daughters - Marie L and Jennie CARON, both residing at Kippewa. There is a mention of a Shepard & Morse Lumber Company, possibly where one of the daughters worked or where Private CARON worked prior to enlisting. His religion was RC. He served in the 130th Battalion. He died at the Dartmouth Hospital, Nova Scotia (NS) on 2 October 1916 and is believed to be buried in Pontiaz area, QC, Kippewa, QC or Halifax, NS.

The grave site of Private Joseph Caron was located by the Canadian Expeditionary Force Study Group (CEFSG) which is committed to find the graves of the unknown Canadian soldiers of the great war.

His remains are buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The information was added to findagrave.com and a request for a grave photo was placed.
