i have been told that my granfather was a chinese immigrant who worked in a restaurant with my grandmother in 1944. My grandmothers name was Mary Langill, she was 34. She got pregnant to this man and my mother was born Sept 6, 1944. I understand that Mah Yu knew of his daughter and paid child support for a short time until mu grandmother moved to Vancouver with some of her children. My grandmother was at one time married to Allison Langill. My grandfathers last name was Mah, first name Yu. There are a few Mah's in Nelson, but I am confused as to who he may be. There is no record of his death tho I have been told he may have died in 1951. Help me ANT information would be welcome...
