Gaining access to Post Mortem records

Hi all,

I'm wondering, if it would be possible to gain access to post mortem records carried out on ancestors. In my case, I've obtained a death certificate for a great grandfather that indicates a post mortem was carried out on 1943 and would be interested in gaining access to this if possible.

Woud anyone know where to begin?

Many thanks
Steven

Without knowing where in the world your ancestor lived and died it's impossible to answer your query. Suggest you repost on the board for the location where your ancestor died where you're likely to be assisted by those with local knowledge. Be sure to include all of the information from the death cert. (and attach an image of the cert. if you can). Please note that posts on location boards must contain reference to and be specific to that location.
