Ancestry is making a HUMONGOUS ERROR indexing 1850 and 1860 slave schedules

I just noticed that Ancestry is indexing the 1850 and 1860 slave schedules as if the names in them were the names of slaves, not the slave owners! Didn't they notice when they got absurd combinations like a three-year old girl named William? It says right at the top of the column of every page that these are the names of the SLAVE OWNERS. Unbelievable.

I have complained to Ancestry. Please do the same. Maybe if enough of us complain, they will fix it.

I noticed this too which makes the record not worth much. The old thing of value is if your ancestor was a slave owner then you can see how many slaves they owned. Sad, but true.

I've noticed a lot of incorrect indexing lately. It's as if a robot is reading the records.

On the other hand there are people making suggested corrections that are well, I can't even describe it it's so unnecessary.
