I could not find a better place on the Ancestry.com forums to ask this question. There is no "Marriage Record" help forum. I know it is a newbie question...but I appreciate the help.

What is the difference between a marriage bond and a marriage license? Money is tight right now, and I am going to order a microfilm through through my local Family History Center. One film is "Marriage Bonds" and the other is "Marriage Licenses". Do both contain the same information? Does one have more info than the other?
