I have observed this morning that my tree is being bombarded with shockingly poor hints to the "England, Essex Select Parish Records" database - in most cases the names are at best a vague forename match and have been attached to people with no Essex connections at all. As I understand it this database is just a link to an index "borrowed" from LDS/FamilySearch - I would much rather see hints to databases for which Ancestry has the original images.
I've seen this sort of thing happen before but this is by far the worst instance yet - so far I haven't seen any correct matches and I have checked all of the hints for surnames beginning with A to Cl.
I'm also getting hints for dated records several hundred years before the people in question were born, which just should not happen.
It is a very time consuming process to Ignore these hints one person at a time - a batch editor capable of ignoring large numbers of hints in one operation would be hugely helpful!
