I believe that I was "conned" into signing up to FMP prior to the 1911 release, when I responded to a "join now ready for the 1911 release" mail shot, only to find later that my membership did not include the 1911. I queried on their "contact us" section whether I could therefore return to pay as you go and have my subscription converted to credits but get the usual robotic to the effect that we can't do that on line you'll have to write to FMP. Just like the banks they are much more efficient at grapping your money than paying it back. I shall certainly not be renewing my FMP subscription and if Ancestry don't include the 1911 when they get it I shalln't stay with them either.

Is that a question for Ancestry? I do not know of any Ancestry person answering questions on this board. Phone Ancestry or Click Help on top right of Ancestry page and send them a note.
I heard before it will be 2012 as the other site that has it I presume out bid them for the contract

I'd imagine it depends a lot on what the deal is between the National Archives and Brightsolid, and in particular what the deal is with the the digitized images as with this census that is basically the source material available to other companies rather than fiche copies. Presumably once other companies have licences they may have to do their own transcriptions as they have with older censuses. I really can't imagine it appearing on Ancestry before 2012.
I was interested to read in this thread that people were talking of jumping ship from Ancestry because of the lack of the 1911 census, when the only place they could go to get it has been lagging well behind with the older censuses, so they'd lose a lot.
Personally I find the lack of the 1911 census a minor inconvenience as I've already largely worked around it. It is the 1921 one that would be useful now, but of course that will be another 12 years coming. Ancestry's unheralded transcription of the GRO birth indices from 1916 to 1985 has been far more useful to me.

I agree the mistakes are unreal. There are so many and often the oringinal image is very clear. I found three families, all different addresses and surnames, with double lines drawn under each household all entered as the same surname at the same address.
