"1) It shows up in the Person tab for quick reference. Otherwise I have to move my mouse over the source "box" to get the "balloon" text to show."
I refer to the source icon in the member tree as a "chicklet" when walking my uninitiated "guests" through the various online presentations (which I thought we were talking about...but apparently not) ;-)
"2) It prints in the body of the person's narrative in what FTM calls "Genealogy Report" (narrative register reports)...This wouldn't be such an issue except that FTM uses End Notes and not Footnotes (ie notes for each page on each page)."
While I really haven't experienced a personal need for printing/accessing any of the "reports" in FTM, I understand your thinking as an FTM/Member Tree user and I guess there's no real point in doing your member tree any differently. However, as a member tree only user and unless you're planning on utilizing any of the member tree pay-for-compilations, the simpler the better as far as source compilation is concerned...
...but just my personal .02 anyway.
