I don't seem to be able to adjust the relationship range slider using any of the 3 web browsers on my iPad (Safari, Chrome, Atomic Web). Anyone else having this issue? Anyone figured out how to get around it?

I had the problem with the slider also..ended up moving it on my desktop. I find generally the "touch" part of the ipad isn't working well with ancestry.com...hard to keep the page from sliding away, opening trees of dna matches etc. I have only had the problems in the last couple of months -- before that the ipad worked well with both the dna portions of ancestry.com and the general sections..now it seems "touchy". I think it may be related to safari -- chrome for ipad just overlays the underlying safari browser so it has whatever problems that ipad safari has. Not sure about atomic web.

I'am also having issues with opening up DNA results on my ipad. It was working fine up until this last week then all of a sudden dna would not open up. It is making me crazy! Yes I'm having slider issues also, you touch the pad and it all slides away!! What is up with that!! I found that if I touch a person's name twice really fast it will open up! I want the dna results to open up for me!!

One trick I have learned is to refresh the page more frequently than usual on Ipad..esp when looking at dna match trees or when I want to look at a specific profile on a page. Ancestry.com and the safari browser that is basically the only browser you can use on ipad (chrome and other ipad browser apps only wrap around the underlying safari browser) seem to be sluggish together..only website that I use that has this much trouble.

Try contacting customer service by phone or post the problem in the "other" community forum re dna ...you get to it via help on most pages. Staff seem to monitor and respond there whereas this forum is for peer support, mainly. Or the fastest responses are via ancestry.com's facebook page..those replies are from ancestry staff and they often say they have alerted developers if it is a common problem .. I haven't had it shut off my dna matches entirely for awhile.

As always, clearing cache and history sometimes helps..a pain to do as it loses other things on ipad (unlike pcs which alow saving passwordsetc..with ipad it is usually all or nothing in clearing history etc.

I am told the phone responses are less knowledgeable re dna interfaces but they might be able to help.

I just checked the community forum support forum and someone else posted the same problem this am re not being able to open dna results on ipad after having done it for months. Some thought that the work being done apparently on the dna search function..being tested on some accounts -- might be whatbis causing the problem for some ipad dna users. I am not having problems right now (knock on wood) so it may be an issue with just a few accounts that are being used as tests for the new search functions due to roll out inJune or July...just a theory posted there. Either way you aren't alone in just having the problem start.

here is the answer I got back from Ancestry via FaceBook

Ancestry.com commented on your Wall post.
Ancestry.com wrote: "Hi Judy, Sorry for the inconvenience. At this time, the mobile browser on the iPad isn't fully optimized with the Ancestry site. We recommend accessing the Ancestry app when using the iPad and accessing the Ancestry.com site with a compatible browser on a desktop or laptop computer.
Now for one you cannot access your DNA matches on the Ipad App, so that is out!! My Ipad costs a lot of money and it should not be having these issues when it was working just fine!!

Ha..as one who is using the ipad right now and opening dna matches constantly, that is "new" to me! It is touchy and doesn't work as well as it did last year...true the ipad has limitations for various parts of ancestry.com that use flash player or other platforms that aren't compatible, the ipad app for ancestry is nice, but you have to go to browser (safari) to do dna etc..

Yeah well mine was working just fine last week and then that same night I tried to go back into my dna matches and it would not work and still isn't working so I don't know what is up with that!! Another post here says that they may be doing test's on some of the trees and mine might be one of them! I don't appreciate it as I like to use my Ipad for all of this. Yes it is very touchy and wants to slide when trying to open up someone on a tree but I have found that if I do 2 quick taps on a name it opens them up. I just want it to open up my DNA.....
