Only you can decide what info is important to your search. If you want to use the census records, the most productive way to 'copy' the info are the census forms available on the ancestry site for download. They are blank, printable, ready to fill-in, but you have to fill-in by hand. Copy the census info from the top portion (state, city, dates, pg#s, districts, etc.) and the lines of info for your ancestors. After filling out all the info, then you decide what you want to use and when. You may be amazed what is in a census when you fill it out.
