I subscribe to ancestry.com and am getting VERY irritated over a lot of the changes.
Half the forms you've messed around with don't work right. Names that were once on the 1930 census index are no longer there. Adding more, more, more and having to page thru results, digital hits are for the most part erroneous for the names I'm looking for, the soundex searches are off-the-wall, etc., etc.
Now I find the RootsWeb CA Death Records are subscription only. Since I have a subscription - that isn't a problem unless I decide to toss this subscription like I did the genealogy.com one because of all the junk there.
I prefer the format used at RootsWeb. I prefer the format of the SSDI at RootsWeb. If you are going to now charge for what was always going to be free stuff, at least keep the forms and results formats the same. Whoever made those forms had some idea of the power of databases and the ability to use parameters to end up with hoped for results.
Since you seem to be switching all the RootsWeb information to ancestry please add the metaphone. RootsWeb metaphone works a whole lot better than your soundex.
