Is a subscription required to access the Social Security Death Index (SSDI)?

A subscription to the US Records Collection is now required in order to search the Social Security Death Index (SSDI). This database can no longer be searched with only a free Guest account. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. This change was made in order to cover the cost of maintaining and updating this valuable database. We will continue to work to offer the most comprehensive and up to date version of the Social Security Death Index possible. Thank you for your understanding.
