Being corrected is not the issue - in fact, I welcome corrections to my tree and have told her so. It is the nastiness and the shaming that is unnecessary.

Any corrections, knowledge sharing, advice, etc. can be communicated pleasantly and in the spirit of community and helpfulness. After all, we are cousins.
