Unfortunately it seems to be all too common with modern software companies.

Just look how Google gets worse every time they do an improvement. PICASAWEB for far superior to GOOGLE+ and you have to keep switching back to PICASAWEB display, they have now screwed up their mapping site though again you can switch back to the original. FLICKR did the same, they 'improved' their site so was generally hated by most users.
