Yet another "improvement" that has removed functionality

When viewing English Marriage Transcriptions (My main interest is Surrey) there is an opportunity to submit corrections to the (appalling) transcriptions.

Recently a change has been made that has removed the capability to apply a correction to the spouse's father's name. I know why - some fool had set the correction system up incorrectly and the DBA could not differentiate between the spouse's father and the Participant's father when they attempted to merge the corrections into the main database

Does this mean that the hundreds if not thousands of corrections to the Spouse's Father's name field that I have submitted have been deleted?

originally submitted to the Ancestry.com "improvements" Board, but way too contentious for such a wide audience so it was relocated by the admin!
