My impression of the Story View is insult. It absolutely mangles the "stories".

Ancestry's location database is full of errors and omissions and it changes my correct locations to something in the database. For example, it has my Mayflower ancestor as having died in Kansas. It also shows him arriving in 1638 aboard the Bevis. This is 17 years after his actual death. I played around with the edit feature. Not worth it.

This isn't the only person in my tree, that I looked at, that is this bad. I would love the ability to make "Story View" go away - forever. I am perfectly capable of creating my own correct, intelligent stories if I want them.

I wish Ancestry would concentrate on dealing with the site problems and quit creating all the fluff. I always cringe when I see a favorite product marked as "New and Improved".
