I have been told that a person should technically be placed in the tree as their birth name and sex and then an event created to show the sex/name change such as a marriage would also change name. So I am seeking thoughts on this topic. To be able to search and share by birth name rather than marriage name change, wouldn't you also do name/sex change the same way?
