If you really want to put your money where your mouth is MENTOR new members! When I started I was like a drunken sailor... whoooppe... over a thousand people in my tree in 3 weeks. A woman emailed me and GENTLY asked how I got a certain fact and linked her tree to me. I was amazed...Pictures and stories and copies of records... wow where did she get all those old addresses for instance??? Well she explained... that one was from a census sheet. You could have knocked me over with a feather,,, I had never actually opened any of the records I was willy nilly attaching to my tree and looked at them *laughs*
She took me under her (and her sisters) wing. I could ask anything no matter how "dumb", I just knew one day I wanted a tree like hers.
Today I have 1673 people in my tree, 586 photos, 147 stories, 1599 RECORDS. But I am proudest that I KNOW my families. ...
This is getting way too long... anyway her name is D. Melcher and she TAUGHT me how to do it and do it right. I will always be grateful.
