Ohh that is a good step in the right direction, but to be of value we need to be able to give them some categorization that we can sort on later. The value of a setting like "undecided" really comes when added to a commonly shared "fact" with other material as yet unknown. Or dare I say as yet an 'unknown unknown' fact link.
For example being able to set "undecided - need to see original" or "undecided - need to get a matching Birth/Marriage/Death date to use" or "undecided - need to get a matching location to use" etc...
Thinking about the Undecided a bit further I might like to use the undecided but give it a weighting and use the hint to find other hints that then allow it to give rise to other hints... I might like then in years to come review used hints with low weights to see if they are a proper match or could reject them because other information of greater value (or weight) is available.
Hmm - and opportunity for Ancestry with their beta maybe? How can we get taken forward?
Thank you for the posts!
