HOW CAN I USE THE OLD SEARCH automatically

I can't even remember how to get to the old search forms - the new ones are totally useless I hardly ever find anything with them -

I plan on going elsewhere once my membership is due again because the improvements made to this site don't provide benefits and much information like images is missing.

It seems like the "improvements" provide less info and less work for Ancestry.com which is the real reason for these "improvements"

It is only with great difficulty I can find anything remotely close to what I'm looking for and w/o these extra steps my search comes back that no such records exist when in fact they do. It is more difficult to find stuff and way too easy to miss something. the two results contradict - how can it be that no such place/person(s) exist when if you search another way they do, but it is extremely convoluted and difficult.

The answer is the same as when you asked a week ago and Looking in Trees answered you.

go to where your site name appears at top right,
to the right of it is a very small arrow
a drop down box will appear
select settings preferences
go to bottom of the page
tick the box under search preferences
now hit update your pretences

each and every time you use the search form make sure that you tick the box at the top for exact matches.

That function has not been working on the ancestry.co.uk site since the outage last night, none of the Cookie functions appear to be working, and yes I have cleared my cache ....
